Starchivore Plant-Based Recipes and Meals
Technically the title here should be "Starchivore Whole Food Plant-Based, Beyond Vegan, Recipes and Meals" - that seemed a bit of a mouthful... is that a pun? hehe The definition of starchivore is towards the bottom of the page.
In the months since we have changed our lifestyle to that of a starch predator, LOL, I have spent literally hours online watching videos, put out mostly by other starchivores and vegans, and spent hours reading recipes and listening to podcasts and snippets of speakers at conferences and therefore much of what has shaped our eating habits comes from exposure to so many different peoples' thoughts and advice.
A big believer in the KIS theory in life and in cooking and meals means that you are not likely to find a lot of complicated and gourmet recipes or meals here. There are tons of websites and videos that cater to that and are easy to find and the goal here is just to Keep It Simple as if you don't KIS you may get tired and quit.

Starchivore Whole Food Plant-Based Lifestyle
Definition:
- a plant-based diet that reduces or eliminates all animal foods like meat, dairy, and eggs PLUS has the addition of starch, so that you feel full and satisfied
- include grains like rye, wheat, barley, oats and corn; starchy vegetables like squash, potatoes, and sweet potatoes and legumes like red and brown lentils, chick peas, green peas, and lotsa beans like pinto, kidney AND lots of fresh fruits and vegetables
- reduces or eliminates added oils, including coconut, olive and peanut and reduces added sugars and salts
- it is believed Dr T Colin Campbell coined the term "whole food, plant-based" and Dr John McDougall the term "starchivore"
